Our whale shark!

These photos were taken yesterday by John, resident cameraman at the whale shark research centre. They have a licence to dive with the sharks, only few people do, so are trying identify and tag sharks in Utilan waters. They then communicate with similar centres in Mexico, Belize, Madagascar and other places where the whale sharks turn up. Very little is known about their behaviour and where they go for much of their lives.
